1. 2026 4th of July Spectacular in Salem, Oregon

Salem’s Fourth of July Spectacular takes over the Fairgrounds at 2330 17th Street NE, with gates opening at 3:00 PM on July 4 for a family-friendly afternoon of live music, traditional American fair food, and beverages. The party runs through the evening, with the main attraction being a 20-minute fireworks display presented by the City of Salem, beginning at 10:00 PM. Admission to the fireworks is free, and the Fairgrounds remain open until 11:00 PM. 

2. Sounds of Liberty in Salem, Oregon

On the morning of July 4th, the Sons of the American Revolution hosts a public reading of the Declaration of Independence at the Liberty Bell replica on the grounds of the Oregon State Capitol, with festivities beginning at 10:30 AM. At 11:00 AM, the bell will ring in coordination with similar ceremonies taking place simultaneously across all time zones nationwide, honoring the original 13 colonies. 

The event takes place outdoors on the east side of the capitol building at the intersection of Waverly and Court Street NE, and attendance is free. No seating is provided, so guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or folding chairs.

Portland’s Waterfront Blues Festival runs July 2 through 4, 2026 at Tom McCall Waterfront Park, offering four days and four stages of blues, soul, funk, and R&B with a lineup of more than 50 artists. Founded in 1988, the festival has hosted over 2,000 performers across its history and raised more than $10 million for organizations including the Oregon Food Bank and Meals on Wheels.
